MCLD is proud to join communities across the nation in celebrating America’s semiquincentennial, also known as the 250th anniversary of our founding!
Many of libraries are offering free programs and events to celebrate this momentous moment for our nation.
Starting in July, stop by your MCLD library for a commemorative bookmark, sticker, and a limited-edition America 250 library card, featuring a patriotic design with a touch of the spirit of Arizona. Quantities are limited and are available first-come, first-served, so be sure to grab yours before they’re gone!
From an essay contest to patriotic pets, Maricopa County departments are offering a variety of ways to participate in America 250 celebrations.
