ShelfLogic
Maricopa County Library District is excited to have adopted the moniker ShelfLogic to name its intuitive library book shelving and cataloging system.
The system was first referred to as "Deweyless" in 2007 when the Perry Library opened. This shelving system utilizes no numbers but relies on subject and genre to aid customers in finding the materials.
The name ShelfLogic symbolizes a designation for the hybrid bookstore model classification system intended to offer customers more of what they want in a library: lower profile shelving; more open space for browsing; more comfortable places to sit and read; and greater access to easier-to-locate materials.
